The Northwest Arkansas Pride Parade has added color and splash to downtown Fayetteville for the past 9 years. Let’s make the tenth one extra special. You don’t want to miss Arkansas’ largest pride celebration!
Register below to march or ride on a float, or volunteer to be part of the Center’s NWA Pride Flag Brigade or the Motorcycle Club!
Our online parade entry form has closed, but you're still welcome to join the parade! Show up with your group at the parade site (corner of East & Spring) between 8 and 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. Please note the terms and conditions below to which all parade participants must agree. Businesses who participate in the parade will be invoiced $60. Entry for non-profits, community groups & individuals is free. See you at the parade!
Terms and Conditions:
A parade contingent can be an individual or group who participates in the parade. Contingents can be art-meets-social-commentary in the back of a truck, a well-designed parade float, or marching along Dickson Street. Whatever your entry may be, it should openly display something: showing yourself off, displaying your ideals, recognizing your friends or making a statement against discrimination and bigotry — all done with a sense of artistic flair in full public view.
The NWA Pride Parade begins at 11:00 a.m.
All parade participants are required to check-in with event staff at the administration tent at the designated check-in time on Saturday, June 18, 2016.
Event parking is extremely limited, and this application does not secure parking spaces in the parade line-up zones. Event staff will assist those in need of finding appropriate parking.
A number of factors determine your placement in the parade. We attempt to accommodate as many requests as possible. Parade placement is in the sole discretion of the NWA Pride Parade committee.
Your contingent must listen to and comply with all directions given by NWA Pride event team members.
All drivers must possess a valid driver’s license. All vehicles must be insured and registered for the day of the parade. Driver’s license, valid registration and/or vehicle rental agreement, proof of insurance or vehicle rental agreement that shows that insurance was purchased, must be available on the day of the parade for inspection by any event staff. Drivers and/or vehicles without required licenses and documentation will not be allowed on the parade route. Vehicles must be in good physical and operating.
All participants of contingents riding in or on a vehicle or float pulled by a vehicle must complete the waiver of liability form. Those on foot do not have to complete the waiver of liability form.
The NWA Center for Equality, Inc. is not responsible for damages to vehicles or injuries to individuals during parade registration or while on the parade route.
No items may be thrown from your contingent into the crowd or at spectators, nor may anyone dismount or board a moving vehicle.
If your parade entry includes animals, in accordance with city ordinance, you are responsible for cleaning up after your animals in assembly and along the parade route and for properly disposing of all animal waste.
The NWA Pride Parade is a fun, positive, and friendly event. As such, rude, disrespectful, or obscene behavior will not be tolerated. Any individual or group not behaving appropriately may, at the sole discretion of the NWA Center for Equality and its agents, be removed from the parade.
The NWA Center for Equality reserves the right to deny application of parade entry, or continuation on the parade route, to any individual or organization it believes would misrepresent the intentions of this event and/or be offensive to event attendees or affiliated organizations. Any applicant misrepresenting their business description or marketing intentions, or who displays or distributes offensive or obscene materials, will be required to leave the area immediately at the request of the event organizers.
I understand that if I am registering a business that the parade entry fee is non-refundable.
All city, state, and federal policies, regulations and laws must be followed at all times. The Fayetteville Police Department will be on site and en route. Fines may be issued to a contingent by the City of Fayetteville Police Department, and reconciling those are the responsibility of those determined by the Police or Court. The NWA Center for Equality reserves the right to assess additional penalties to those responsible for situations placing the events of NWA Pride in a negative light.
