FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – February 14, 2016 – NWA Hope, the NWA Center for Equality’s confidential HIV testing and education program is partnering with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church to begin regular testing services for the Northwest Arkansas homeless population. The expanded testing is funded by the Walmart Foundation through a Northwest Arkansas Giving Grant.
Free confidential HIV testing is conducted by NWA Hope volunteers each Wednesday during a free community meal hosted by St. Paul’s. More than 50 tests have been completed since the project launched in January.
NWA Hope was established by the NWA Center for Equality in 2010 and continues to offer free confidential testing at the Center each Tuesday and Thursday or by appointment.
