Since 1992, the Arkansas AIDS Foundation has worked to improve the physical and psychosocial well-being of persons living with HIV/AIDS, and to promote HIV education, intervention, prevention, and HIV testing/screenings. AAF provides testing on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. They also provide rental and utility assistance through HOPWA (Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS).

Get Checked’s mission is to prevent the transmission of HIV in Northwest Arkansas through outreach and prevention education. Our program provides free, confidential HIV testing and resources for the community of Northwest Arkansas. We strive to collaborate with regional HIV/AIDS organizations and local businesses to better provide education and testing services to individuals in need of counseling, education, and outreach. Testing is open to everyone, and appointments can be made by phone or email, and appointment times are flexible and include evenings and weekends.

ARcare, Fayetteville

Along with many other health services, ARcare provides comprehensive care to those with HIV. This program includes several services that fall under a wide range of categories, including peer support services, care plans, co-pay assistance, medication assistance, dietitian counseling, gas vouchers for HIV-related visits and medical and non-medical case management, food voucher assistance and referrals for housing opportunities for those with HIV/AIDS.

The HIV Care Program is funded through the Ryan White Program, a federally funded program for individuals living with HIV/AIDS who have no health insurance (public or private), who have insufficient health care coverage, or who lack financial resources to get the care they need for their HIV disease.

Planned Parenthood provides comprehensive reproductive and complementary healthcare and educational services and programs, and advocates for public policies to protect essential healthcare and privacy rights – including healthcare, education, and advocacy services for the LGBTQ community. Planned Parenthood provides full panel HIV and STD testing and is one of the two Northwest Arkansas providers registered with the CDC to prescribe Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) medication.
