“HOMO the Documentary” Screening

September 21, 2016, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm CDT

Five filmmakers travel the USA, asking questions about our country’s current treatment of LGBTQ rights in an exploration of love in the face of ignorance. This one time special screening of “Homo the Doc” is part of NWA Equality’s Out and About program. Tickets are $10 and available at the theater.

Plot Overview:
Americans are cascading between their ideas of identity, and it’s making it difficult to represent everyone equally under the law.

Hate groups rise in numbers rallying against the progress of the oppressed. Religious leaders divide on the interpretations of their prophets’ words. People all around the country are being subjugated, and it seems to be getting worse.

Producer Michael McClure decided to do something about it. Together with a ragtag group of filmmakers, they set out across America searching for answers. What they find is an understanding about people that will stay with them forever.
